The peace felt when observing the vastness of the night sky—it’s wonder of millions of stars, stars as our own Sun, and the occasional comet, its depth of infinite space and the mystery of creation—calms and delights my heart. We women share an intimate bond with Cause, as our wombs develop and unfold a newborn from a depth within—which we simply must trust. The Goddess breathes Life into the Living, and encompasses our World with an intention of wholeness. The Tibetan monks pray daily, chanting and spinning their prayer wheels as the incense joins their holy voice, honoring the perfection and responsibility of creative thought and feeling.
The teardrop of fishbowl and tailpipe—our impact upon Nature—shows effort by some companies to adapt to conservation of natural resources, and attempt to live in closer harmony with Nature. The Living Organisms—fish, mammals, plants, microbes—are relying upon our compassion and humility in order to thrive in a cleaner habitat. The call to cooperate, to resist the temptation to travel, unnecessarily, by car or truck, or heat one’s home above a normal level, to harness one’s purchasing of manufactured goods—to live simply—has never been more important. The Arctic icebergs are seen melting from beneath the throne of the Walrus, limiting their resources, not to mention the solar impact upon plants, people, insects, fish and animals all over the world.
The shepherd with his/her flock of sheep invites us to embrace the ageless vocation or support of animal husbandry. Such harmony ensues here.
My daughter, Jessica, rides the lamb, near the image of a Native American woman, reminding us of a society that proved itself to be strong, brave, cooperative, humble and reverent.
The surging dolphin—a symbol of Wisdom and Hope for me—brings energy to this Peace Vision, offering potential for new ways of living that honor all beings.
The slippers by the bed beckon, “Do less, have more!” “Economy Slows,” reads a headline, giving us some resolve that people are, voluntarily, understanding the Simplicity concept.
White Collage: Allowing Diversity and Intimacy
Hawaiian music and dance, shared by a woman from another culture and Olympic Games are a few examples of respect for other races and cultures, and the enjoyment of this sharing and interaction.
Politicians, with peace and sustainability in mind, offer hope for a meaningful life and progresses toward an effective society. Peace feels safe.
The beauty and subtleties shown in the sandstone image reveals the grace of Peace and the common feeling that we share in solitude with Nature.
The young girl’s request to be acknowledged by her parents or teachers confronts our need to reestablish priorities, slow down and become human again. Use chopsticks.
Open up! Breathe! Accept and enjoy the beauty and love that is all around us. Adapt and guide our young people. Share quiet time with them. Accept one’s circumstances. Be Present.
The missing piece is Peace. Heal in the silence of Peace.
