Black & White Collages:

What does Peace look like?

The love in a child’s EYE.

The curve of a lovers lip.

The colors of life after a spring rain.

A rose glistening with morning dew.

Creative Chaos as it winds down into a project of completion.

What does Peace feel like?

It feels like something I’ve never felt for long or ever at all.

Boundaries when necessary, yet not walls to keep one from feeling—from being vulnerable.

Peace feels like EMPOWERMENT & ACCEPTANCE—acceptance for not only of ones limitations but of life and others and others limitations.

It also feels like the understanding that the magic of what still can be can move us to move mountains.

How does Peace smell?

Full, charged yet cleansed—like the air after a lightening storm

How does Peace taste?

Sweet, tangy, vibrant and ALIVE

Orange with a sprig of mint, milk with a hint of vanilla.

Juicy and succulent, yet mild and soft.

What is the sound of Peace?

A trumpet heralding in a new day.

Silence of a fog blanketed dawn.

The first thudded crunch under foot on freshly fallen snow.

The breath of your baby as she rests in your arms.

PEACE...

Peace. I searched me inside out and this is what SHE told me:

Girl, you may think you’ve not known much peace in your lifetime, but you have known me in my various forms. Who’s been there bringing you comfort in your darkest hours? Who’s cradled you as you cried your river of tears time and again? Who’s fed you inspiration to keep you going? Who’s taught you boundaries so you can thrive? Who’s kept the wolves at bay so you can mend? Who’s given you that firm push to move you forward? Who’s helped you prune what was no  longer needed? And as the pieces fell away to reveal your authentic self? Who was there to revel in your ecstatic state of abandon?

It is I, PEACE. In my many forms time and again...
